
Since his return to the country, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been maintaining a busy schedule.
Continuing his engagements, his programs today include visiting the grave of Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July uprising and spokesperson for the Inqilab Mancha.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media cell, confirmed the itinerary on Friday (December 26).
According to the schedule, Tarique Rahman will visit Osman Hadi’s grave, located next to the Dhaka University Central Mosque, at 11:00 AM on Saturday (December 27).
He will be accompanied by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other senior party leaders.
Following this, the BNP Acting Chairman is scheduled to visit the Election Commission (EC) in Agargaon to participate in the National Identity Card (NID) registration process.
As his final program of the day, Tarique Rahman will visit the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Pangu Hospital) to meet with those injured during the July mass uprising.
Tarique Rahman returned to Bangladesh on December 25 after 17 years in exile.
Upon his arrival, he attended a mass reception in the capital’s 300-feet area, visited his ailing mother, Khaleda Zia, at Evercare Hospital, and subsequently went to his Gulshan residence.
Yesterday (December 26), he offered prayers at the grave of his father, the late President Ziaur Rahman, in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar and later paid his respects to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar.
