Fire at six-storey building near Hatirpool under control

A fire broke out at a six-storey building in the capital's Hatirpool area on Wednesday morning. Seven units of fire service worked for two and a half hours to bring the fire under control.

Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense, Anwarul Haque, confirmed the matter at 8:45 pm on Thursday (March 14).

He said, "We got information about the fire at 6:04 pm. The fire was brought under control by 8:37 p.m. The fire is not yet completely extinguished. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. We will work on it after the fire is completely extinguished."
