Six people were killed in opponent brush fire centering the incident of establishing supremacy in Khagrachhari. Three more people were also injured in the incident.
The incident took place at Swanirvar area at around 8 am on Saturday. The deceased and injured were yet to identify.
Bodies of the deceased were kept at Khagrachhari sadar hospital. The injured were also being provided treatment there.
Officer in Charge of Khagrachhari sadar police station Shahadat Hossain Tito confirmed the matter to Rtv online.
He said, who conducted the killing that will be investigated. Extra police were deployed in the area for overall security initiatives.
Meanwhile it was known that, of the deceased 5 were workers of UPDF (Prosith Bikash group) and the other was a pedestrian named Jitayan Chakma who was a worker of health department.
RMO of Khagrachhari sadar hospital Nayanmay Tripura said, five dead bodies and four injured were brought to the hospital. Of the injured one later died while undergoing treatment.
He also said, three critically injured persons were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
