Chat on the Tracks: Four Killed by Train in Patgram
In Lalmonirhat’s Patgram, four people were killed after being struck by a train. Locals reported that they were sitting on the railway track, chatting.
The accident occurred on Monday (November 11) on the railway line in the Alauddin Nagar area of the upazila.
Patgram Railway Station Master Nur Alam confirmed the incident.
The deceased are Azizur Rahman (65), Mobarak Hossain (55), Mokbul Hossain (45) from Islamnagar village in the Jongra Union of the upazila, and Abdul Wahab (42) from Mominpur village in the same union.
According to locals, around evening, the four were sitting on the railway track near Alauddin Nagar Station, chatting. A threshing machine was running nearby, and due to its noise, they couldn’t hear the approaching train. At that moment, the Korotoa Express train ran over them, killing all four instantly.
Regarding the incident, Station Master Nur Alam said that the accident occurred in the evening near Alauddin Nagar Station. Locals reported that the deceased were sitting on the railway track, chatting.
