Series of Cocktail Explosions Near Munshiganj Polling Center

Panic erupted near the Makuhati Gurucharan JC High School polling center in Munshiganj Sadar Upazila as 14 to 15 crude bombs (cocktails) were detonated in quick succession this morning.

The incident occurred around 10:30 AM on the grounds in front of the school. Witnesses reported seeing one person lying injured on the field following the blasts.

The explosions triggered widespread fear among voters and locals in the area.

In response, authorities immediately closed the main gate of the school, leading to a temporary suspension of voting for at least 10 minutes.

Law enforcement has since stepped up security to restore order and resume the polling process.
