Nine coaches of the Nilsagar Express derailed near Santahar in Bogura on Wednesday afternoon, causing widespread panic and completely severing rail links between Dhaka and the North Bengal region.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 PM (March 18) in the Tilakpur area of Santahar.

Casualties: There are reports of several injuries among passengers, though official numbers have not yet been confirmed by railway authorities.

Traffic Disruption: Following the derailment, train services on the Dhaka-North Bengal route have come to a complete standstill.
