Blaze Hits Ink Factory in Demra

A massive fire broke out at a tin-shed ink manufacturing factory in the Amulia Model Town area of Demra on Thursday.

According to Anwarul Islam, Media Officer of the Fire Service, the emergency call was received at 11:38 am. Firefighting teams reached the scene swiftly by 11:55 am to begin containment efforts.

Initially, two units from the Demra Fire Station were deployed to tackle the blaze.

As the situation developed, two additional units from the Siddiqbazar Fire Station were dispatched to the site to bolster the ongoing operation.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported thus far. While firefighting personnel continue their work on the ground, the cause of the fire and the total extent of the property damage are yet to be determined.

Firefighting operations were still underway as of the latest reports.
