As the Eid exodus from the capital begins, the Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge highway has seen a massive spike in passenger and vehicle volume. Within the last 24 hours, 35,658 vehicles crossed the Jamuna Bridge, generating a total toll collection of 28,449,700 BDT. Since Tuesday morning (March 17), heavy crowds of Northn-bound travelers have been observed at key points including Gorai, Mirzapur, Tangail Bypass, Rabna Bypass, Elenga, and the eastern end of the bridge. Alongside long-haul buses, travelers are opting for microbuses, private cars, motorcycles, and even open trucks to reach their destinations.
