Musicians to enter field in protest to show solidarity to students
Apart from the common people, all the stars are also focused on the quota reform movement. They are protesting from their respective places. Now the musicians will hold a protest rally in solidarity with the 9-point demand of the movement.
On Saturday (August 3) at 3 pm at Rabindra Sarobar in Dhanmondi, they will take to the field to protest under the title 'Getup Standup'. Organizer Probar Ripon and Ershadul Haque informed about this in a press release.
Notification also revealed that, we will provide support through our music. Those who are outside Dhaka, they will show solidarity by standing at appropriate places in their respective districts.
May this solidarity with our students be peaceful and songful. We will make banners and festoons with those lines of Bengali songs, which were on people's lips during agitations and protests at various times.
The circular further informs that if we all stand together, students will be inspired and feel empowered that we are by their side. That is our sole purpose of coming together. We will stand in solidarity with all the demands of the students.
When contacted from RTV about today's schedule, Ershadul Haque Tingku, one of the organizers, said that the musicians will take to the field in protest in solidarity with the students. They will stand beside the students with placards of their protest songs.
