New season of Sisimpur begins

Children and teenagers gather in front of television sets when the song ‘Cholchhe Gari Sisimpure’ is played. Such has been happening for more than last ten years from villages to the towns and cities in Bangladesh. Sisimpur has turned into a part of our families.

Sisimpur is helping to create base of mindset for the children and teenagers. Halum, Tuktuki, Ikri, Shiku- all are popular across the country. After being engulfed with love of people from all ages Sisimpur, the popular program of hundreds of thousands people has stepped into the eleventh year.

The new season of Sisimpur was inaugurated with the title ‘Stepping into eleven from ten, the victory will come this time also’ (Dosh periye egaro, joy hobe joy ebaro) at the International Mother Language Institute at Segun Bagicha on Thursday. The program was resonant with the cheerful noise of the children. Tuktuki, Halum, Ikri and Shiku gave much pleasantry to the children.

Executive Director of Sesame Workshop Mohammad Shah Alam, Chief Executive Officer of Rtv Syed Ashik Rahman, Mission Director of USAID Derrick Brown, Managing Director of Ifad Group Tanvir Ahmed and others were present on the occasion.

Executive Director of Sesame Workshop Mohammad Shah Alam said, this time the new season of Sisimpur is being created with more care. Sisimpur is performing an important role for education among Bangladeshi children.

Rtv Chief Executive Officer Syed Ashik Rahman said, I express my gratefulness to the people who patronized the program in different times. Thanking the guardians I would like to say that their suggestions will remain with us all the time. We want to see more beautiful Sisimpur.

USAID Mission Director Derrick Brown said, we are so much delighted that Sisimpur is reaching the objective of USAID to the children after making those suitable for them. Sisimpur used to present the matters of nutrition, water safety, biodiversity and friendship in such a way which children understand easily and learn through fun.

Ifad Group Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed said, Ifad Group will always patronize such type of arrangement. It will be continued in future.

Sesame Workshop made the program Sisimpur in Bangladesh under overall supervision of USAID. Sisimpur is being telecasted on the popular television channel Rtv from its Season-6. Sisimpur is being telecasted on every Friday, Saturday and Tuesday on BTV and on every Friday, Monday and Wednesday on Rtv.
