After hosting 'Dadagiri' for nearly 15 years, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly is presenting a brand-new reality show to audiences. Leaving Zee Bangla, he has taken over the hosting duties for Star Jalsha’s 'Bigg Boss Bangla'.

This information was published in several Indian media outlets.

The grand opening episode of 'Bigg Boss Bangla' took place on Sunday (August 30) at 8:30 PM Bangladesh time.

Following this, the show will be broadcast daily on Star Jalsha starting Monday (August 31) at 10:00 PM Bangladesh time.

The new reality show has already generated immense interest among viewers. The official lineup of contestants entering the 'Bigg Boss Bangla' house has not yet been announced.

However, rumors are circulating around actors Monami Ghosh, Srijla Guha, Sean Banerjee, Sonamoni Saha, Bharat Kaul, and singer Durnibar Saha.

Discussions also suggest that Sudipta Chakraborty, Nusrat Jahan, Yash Dasgupta, and Ankita Singh might feature in the show. Reportedly, Sourav Ganguly was set to reveal the final participant list during yesterday's premiere episode.

'Bigg Boss Bangla' Returns After a Decade
Modeled after the pan-Indian hit reality show 'Bigg Boss', 'Bangla Bigg Boss' premiered on ETV Bangla in 2013, hosted by Mithun Chakraborty. Anik Dhar won the 90-day inaugural season.

The show then went on hiatus for two years before returning in 2016 under the title 'Bigg Boss Bangla', hosted by actor Jeet and broadcast on Colors Bangla. Joyjit Banerjee emerged as the winner of the second season.

'Bigg Boss Bangla' is now returning after nearly a decade with a new host, a new network, and a fresh format. Sourav Ganguly’s involvement as the host has further amplified audience excitement.
