The second edition of the Chattogram International All-Women Film Festival 2026 drawn to a close following the presentation of 45 films originating from six nations along with an array of cinema-focused programs.

The three-day event was held from September 17 to 19 at the Alliance Française de Chattogram, organized jointly by "Film for Us" and the Asian University for Women Film Club to highlight movies created by female directors, familiarize audiences with their cinema, and foster networking alongside intellectual exchanges among cinema practitioners.

This year's lineup featured competition entries across three international categories: fiction, documentary, and digital storytelling, alongside special screenings and exclusive programs showcasing global women directors.

A digital storytelling competition made its debut in this iteration, celebrating narrative projects that leverage multiple digital mediums—including imagery, video, text, sound, and animation—to step beyond traditional filmmaking frameworks.

A primary highlight of the festival was a dedicated showcase of Iranian cinema, affording audiences in Chattogram an opportunity to experience the artistic expressions and perspectives of Iranian female filmmakers, thereby delivering a distinctive cultural engagement, particularly for youth and university students.
