Bangladesh and China held high-level discussions on Thursday aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in the news media, film, and television sectors.

The exchange took place during a courtesy call by Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen on Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon and State Minister Yasser Khan Choudhury.

Both nations expressed a shared vision to enrich the quality of their cultural exchanges and expand collaborative efforts to elevate bilateral relations to a new strategic level.

Ambassador Yao, while congratulating the Ministers on their new appointments, characterized cooperation in media and broadcasting as an "important foundation for information transmission and emotional exchange."

He reiterated China’s willingness to continue deepening these ties, specifically focusing on sharing experiences in the development of modern communication systems.

The Ambassador noted that such partnerships are crucial for promoting mutual understanding and affinity between the citizens of both nations.
