Two pediatric fatalities linked to measles-like clinical indicators over the past 24 hours have pushed cumulative mortality from confirmed cases and suspected symptoms to 1,046 between March 15 and September 17, per data released on Thursday by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room.

Daily surveillance recorded 1,282 suspected infections over the 24-hour window, expanding the aggregate suspected tally to 176,480 across the March 15–September 17 timeframe.

Laboratory-confirmed additions accounted for 61 cases over the past day, lifting total confirmed incidence to 20,343 since mid-March.

Hospitalization metrics for the multi-month period show 155,602 cumulative admissions for suspected cases, paired with 149,540 patient recoveries resulting in discharge.

Disaggregating mortality figures, suspected measles claimed two pediatric lives over the past 24 hours and 946 young patients cumulatively since March 15, whereas confirmed measles recorded zero fatalities in the past day while maintaining a cumulative death toll of 100 individuals since March 15..com/english/economy/news/276635
