2 More Dengue Fatalities Reported as Nationwide Toll Rises to 211

Two more individuals succumbed to dengue while 955 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the 24 hours leading up to 8 am on Friday.

With these latest fatalities, the nationwide death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 211 this year, according to figures released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the recent deaths, one fatality was recorded in the Dhaka South City Corporation area, while the other occurred within the Dhaka North City Corporation jurisdiction.

Official DGHS statistics further indicate that a total of 70,104 dengue patients have been hospitalized nationwide since January 1 this year, with 64,827 among them successfully recovering and being discharged.
