Israeli Airstrikes Kill 24 in Southern and Eastern Lebanon
The Israeli military has carried out extensive airstrikes across several towns and regions in southern and eastern Lebanon, killing at least 24 people, including children, and injuring many others, according to a report by Anadolu on Tuesday, October 22.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that seven people were killed and several others injured in an airstrike on the southern town of Marwahin. Another strike in Kharayeb claimed four lives and injured four more, according to the health ministry.
The ministry also confirmed that six people, including two children, were killed in a separate attack on Babliyah, and another person lost their life in Kafr Hatta. In Baalbek, an eastern city, another airstrike killed six people, including a child, and left five others injured.
Despite growing international outrage and calls for a ceasefire, Israel continues its attacks on both Gaza and Lebanon. In Gaza, over 60% of the infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed due to ongoing Israeli aggression.
Israel has already faced genocide charges at the International Criminal Court. The conflict has led to over 42,000 Palestinian deaths and displaced more than 2 million residents from their homes.
Since September 23, Israel has been conducting airstrikes not only in Beirut but across various regions of Lebanon.
Lebanese health authorities report that since last year, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 2,500 people and injured over 11,500.
