Despite ongoing ceasefire efforts, Israeli military actions in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 11 people, including three journalists, according to reports from the Gaza Health Ministry and Al Jazeera.

The casualties, reported on Wednesday (January 21), include two children and three media professionals. While the Israeli military claimed it was targeting "suspects" operating a drone, it was later revealed that the strikes hit journalists working for an Egyptian aid organization.

Their bodies were recovered from the debris of a burnt-out site. Additionally, several civilians, including children, were killed by occupation forces' gunfire on the same day.

The Gaza Civil Defense Department identified the deceased journalists as Mohammad Salah Kashta, Abdul Rauf Shaat, and Anas Ghaneim. Their bodies were transported to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah following an airstrike in the Al-Zahra area, southwest of Gaza City.

Global Diplomatic Shifts: The 'Board of Peace'
Amidst the ongoing devastation, eight Muslim-majority nations—including Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey—have officially announced their participation in the "Board of Peace" proposed by US President Donald Trump.

This coalition aims to sustain the ceasefire, ensure the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid, and push for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Trump at Davos: Hamas to Surrender Arms
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday, President Donald Trump stated that Hamas has agreed to surrender its weapons.

"While this is a difficult decision for a group born with weapons in their hands, they must do this to maintain peace," Trump remarked.

He issued a stern warning that if Hamas does not fulfill this commitment within the next three weeks, the group will be swiftly eliminated.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has described President Trump’s efforts as "historic," emphasizing that the Palestinian issue remains the top priority for Middle East stability.

President el-Sisi reiterated that the formation of a Palestinian state is the fundamental key to bringing lasting peace to the region.
