Iran Rejected US Proposal Over Trump's 'Excessive Demands' - State Media

Iranian state media have portrayed a US proposal to end the war with Iran as "an attempt to force capitulation."

Accepting the proposal would have amounted to Iran submitting to the "excessive demands" of U.S. President Donald Trump, Press TV said late on Sunday.

Iran's counterproposal, which Trump has rejected as "totally unacceptable," called for an end to the war on all fronts and for the US to pay war reparations.

It also demanded recognition of full Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, an end to US sanctions and the release of seized Iranian assets, Press TV said.
