Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that many surprises lie ahead if war breaks out again in the region.

In a statement delivered on Wednesday, Araghchi claimed that months after a war was initiated against Iran, the United States Congress acknowledged the loss of multi-billion-dollar fighter jets.

The Foreign Minister further asserted that the Iranian Armed Forces were the first to shoot down the highly acclaimed F-35 fighter jets.

In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: "With the experience and knowledge we have gained from the war, many more surprises will be witnessed if war returns in the future."

Meanwhile, citing US officials, the American news outlet Axios reported that Iran's latest counter-proposal showed no significant progress.

The report noted that US President Donald Trump met with top officials of his national security team on Monday night to review the situation in Iran, where various options for potential military action were discussed.
