The Delhi Police on Saturday morning granted official permission for a protest at Jantar Mantar organized by the social media platform 'Cockroach Janta Party'.

The demonstrators are demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the ongoing NEET examination paper leak controversy.

The demonstration was called by the prominent online group to seek accountability in the alleged examination leak case.

The platform's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, arrived in Delhi from the United States on Friday specifically to lead the protest on the ground.

Upon his arrival, police officials reportedly met Dipke directly at the airport and permitted him to proceed straight to the designated protest site.

Earlier, Dipke had instructed his supporters to gather at the Parliament Street Police Station to help secure the necessary clearance, but he later redirected them to Jantar Mantar once the official permission was granted.

Dipke was spotted arriving at the airport carrying a copy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s autobiography.

In anticipation of the gathering, authorities have deployed tight security arrangements across central Delhi, with around 2,000 police personnel stationed at and around the protest venue to maintain order.

A pamphlet distributed by the group at the site stated that the protest aims to demand accountability, justice, and the resignation of the education minister.

The group also claimed that an online petition backing these exact demands has already gathered more than 8 lakh signatures from the public.

The Cockroach Janta Party is a satirical digital movement originally launched by Dipke on May 16 following widespread controversy linked to remarks attributed to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.

It quickly gained immense attention and amassed a large, highly active following across various social media platforms before transitioning into this physical demonstration.
