The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has declared that its protest will continue until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar tenders his resignation.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday evening, CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde urged party supporters to march towards Jantar Mantar at 10:00 AM on October 11.
During his address, he pledged to sustain the agitation until the Chief Election Commissioner steps down.
"We will not stop until Gyanesh Kumar resigns. We will not go back home," Shinde stated. "Just as we broke the government’s arrogance last time, we will do the exact same this time as well."
Flanked by leaders of left-wing student organizations, the CJP leader remarked that Saturday's events across Delhi eclipsed even the Emergency.
"We wanted to hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar; we simply demanded our voting rights," he said.
The CJP leader further stated that no whereabouts have been established for Abhijeet Dipke, Sourav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka after they were detained from Delhi airport.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police reported that nearly 3,000 individuals were detained under police law, though officials confirmed that everyone was released by the evening.
In a parallel development, leaders of the INDIA bloc have called for a mega rally in Delhi on Monday.
