Another Indian national, who was critically injured in the October 10 attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has passed away.

The Indian Embassy confirmed the information on Wednesday (November 4), according to Arab News.

In a statement, the embassy said, "It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that another Indian national, who was severely injured in the October 10 attack at Riyadh airport, has passed away in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Riyadh hospital."

Earlier, Mohammed Yusuf, a 46-year-old resident of Hyderabad, India, died from injuries sustained in the same attack.

Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Vipul, told Arab News, "I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate passing of Indian national Sheikh Saeed last night. He was seriously injured in the October 10 attack at Riyadh airport. For over three weeks, he fought bravely for his life."

The ambassador stated that Saeed was a native of Nizamabad district in India's Telangana state. He leaves behind a wife and three children, while two of his brothers work in Riyadh.

He added, "During this time, our officials and members of the expatriate community have been in contact with Saeed's brothers and the Saudi authorities providing necessary medical care."

Expressing deep condolences to Saeed's family, the ambassador said, "I offer my sincere condolences to his family. My deepest sympathies go out to his young child, wife, relatives, and friends."

He mentioned that arrangements for Saeed's funeral prayers and burial in Riyadh are underway in accordance with the family's wishes, and the Indian Embassy will provide all necessary assistance.

The ambassador also noted that another Indian national from Kerala, who was injured in the same attack, remains in the ICU.

His condition is reported to be stable, and the ambassador expressed hope that his health will improve further in the coming days.

He further stated, "We once again condemn the attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure such as the airport in Saudi Arabia. These attacks have resulted in the deaths and injuries of innocent people. We hope that peace and normalcy will return to the region."

With Saeed's death, the total death toll from the October 10 attack at Riyadh airport has risen to 14.

The attack, carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi group, claimed the lives of four Saudi nationals and ten foreign nationals.

Among the foreign casualties are two Bangladeshi and two Indian citizens, alongside nationals from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan.
