The verdict in the 'Crimes Against Humanity' case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and two other accused associates of hers -- former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun will be delivered by the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1), headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Mozumder, today.
The Registrar's Office has confirmed that the Tribunal's proceedings will begin at 11am for this purpose. The verdict will be broadcast live via BTV, while the Ministry of Culture is arranging for the judgment to be shown on large screens at multiple locations in the capital.
Ahead of the high-profile verdict, Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury confirmed Sunday that the interim government had placed all law enforcement agencies on 'full alert' and implemented intensified security measures. Nevertheless, incidents of arson targeting vehicles and cocktail explosions were subsequently reported in Dhaka and various other parts of the country.
Beginning Sunday evening (November 16), activists of the banned Awami League carried out successive acts of sabotage that continued throughout the night.

According to reports, two cocktails exploded in front of the residence of Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Central Road area and near the National Citizen Party (NCP) office in the Banglamotor area.

A moving train near the Farmgate rail crossing was also targeted. While no casualties were reported, police arrested several suspects in connection with these incidents.

Police Intensify Vigilance, Deploy Additional Forces Ahead of Verdict
Police reported they are vigilant against any terrorist activities by the Awami League. To prevent sabotage and ensure security, checkpoints were established at various entry points of Dhaka starting Sunday, and additional forces were deployed across the capital.
Furthermore, the Supreme Court enhanced Tribunal security by requesting the Army Headquarters deploy military personnel during the verdict announcement, while the road from Doyel Chattar toward Shikkha Bhaban, adjacent to the Tribunal, was closed.
