Classes will be held on Friday if needed: Education Minister
Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel said classes will be held on Friday if necessary to keep the educational activities active.
This information was stated on the verified Facebook page of the Ministry of Education on Sunday (May 5), quoting the minister.
'We now have 185 school working days in a year. Of these, 20 days have been kept for the evaluation. We will re-adjust with the extra 20 days, classes will be taken on Friday if necessary to keep the educational activities active'.
Earlier, on April 30, the education minister said the same thing while talking to reporters at the ministry. On that day, he said that if the education day is reduced, then the school can be kept open on Friday if necessary to keep the education activities active.
However, a day later, the Ministry of Education said that no final decision had been taken to take classes on Friday.
Classes have resumed in educational institutions on Sunday after the holidays given due to the extreme heatwave. The Ministry of Education has already announced that classes will continue on every Saturday until further notice.
