
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has officially appointed two key officials to the office of the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The announcement was made today through a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
According to the statement, A.B.M. Abdus Sattar, a former secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, has been appointed as the Private Secretary to the Acting Chairman.
Additionally, A.A.M. Saleh (Saleh Shibli), a veteran journalist and former General Secretary of the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU), has been named the Press Secretary.
These strategic appointments come as the party intensifies its preparations for the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election 2026 and the Referendum, strengthening the administrative and communication wings of the party's top leadership.
