The Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, the youth wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), is celebrating its 48th founding anniversary on Tuesday (October 27).
The organization has announced a two-day schedule of events, including central, district, and city-level programs across the country.
BNP founder and former President Ziaur Rahman established Jubo Dal on October 27, 1978, with the objective of channeling youth energy into productive forces.
As part of the central programs today, leaders and activists from the Jubo Dal central committee alongside Dhaka North and South units will pay homage at the grave of Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, followed by a prayer session at 11:00 AM.
At 12:00 PM, a blood donation drive and free medical service initiative organized by the Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee will commence at the BNP central office in Naya Paltan.
The two-day anniversary programs scheduled for October 27 and 28 across the country include discussion meetings, rallies, blood donation drives, free medical services, tree-planting campaigns, and cleanliness drives.
Additionally, fish fry release initiatives and food distribution among underprivileged communities have been planned.
Abul Kashem served as the founding convener of Jubo Dal. Over the years, prominent leaders including Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Barkatullah Bulu, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Saiful Alam Sirab, and Sultan Salauddin Tuku have served as its president and general secretary.
Currently, Abdul Monayem Munna serves as the president and Nurul Islam Nayan as the general secretary of Jubo Dal.
