
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, nation expected that Awami League council would show a path for returning democracy. But they could not show that. Along with they failed to give any direction for economic, social and political development and for overcoming the crisis.
He said these after a doa mahfil at BNP central office at Nayapaltan in the capital on Saturday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, we are doing politics in a reverse situation. We are not getting the space that we need for doing politics. In many places we were barred from holding our councils. Specially in district and upazila level we are not allowed to hold council.
The BNP secretary general also said, Awami League for the last one decade is working to establish one party ruling system. They are trying to make a situation without democracy undermining the constitution. These were come in front while holding their council. And for that reason the nation is totally frustrated.
