Hajj Flights Conclude, Over 85,000 Pilgrims Reach Saudi Arabia

The Hajj flight operations from Bangladesh have officially ended, with a total of 85,164 pilgrims reaching Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj this year. These pilgrims travelled aboard 219 flights operated under both government and private management.

According to the latest Hajj bulletin released on Sunday (June 1), citing sources from the airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Hajj Office in Dhaka, and officials in Saudi Arabia, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 108 flights, Saudia Airlines 80, and Flynas Airlines 31.

Passenger distribution among the airlines is as follows:

  • 41,902 pilgrims flew with Biman Bangladesh Airlines
  • 30,789 pilgrims travelled on Saudi Arabia Airlines
  • 12,473 pilgrims used Flynas Airlines

Hajj flights from Bangladesh began on April 29, with the first dedicated flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying 398 pilgrims. The final departure took place on May 31, marking the end of this year’s outbound Hajj flight phase.

Return flights are scheduled to start on June 10 and will continue until July 10.
