Pakistan was eliminated from the league stage in the last ODI World Cup. Pakistan team standing on the edge of the same abyss in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Pakistan failed to chase down the easy target of 120 runs against India in the second match after losing badly to USA.

It is not excluded on paper, but unwritten, Pakistan is sure to leave the group stage this time. Because the host USA is ahead with India after winning two matches in a row.

Pakistan took the field against India in the high-voltage match of Group A on Sunday (June 9). Batting first in this match, India gave Pakistan a target of only 120 runs. In response, Pakistan could score 113 runs by losing 7 wickets in the allotted overs. India won by 6 runs.

Two Pakistan openers, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, started to play in the beginning chasing an easy target. But Babar could not increase the innings. This right-handed batsman got out after scoring 13 runs off 10 balls.

Then Usman Khan scored 13 runs in 15 balls and Fakhar Zaman returned with 13 runs in 8 balls. However, Rizwan continued to lead the team to victory by keeping one edge.

Rizwan was Bumrah's second victim in the 15th over. Pakistan was under pressure when this opener got out after scoring 31 runs off 44 balls. Shadab Khan got out after scoring 4 runs off 7 balls and India beat Pakistan.

Pakistan were knocked out of the match when Iftikhar Ahmed got out in the last ball of the 19th over. Their target is 18 runs off the last 6 balls.

But if Imad Wasim, who scored 15 runs in 23 balls in the last over, gets out, Pakistan can score 113 runs by losing 7 wickets in the scheduled over. India won by 6 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah took the maximum three wickets for India. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya took two wickets, Akshar Patel and Arshdeep Singh took one wicket each.

India did not start well after losing the toss. Kohli returned to the dressing room on the 9th ball of the innings. He scored 4 runs in 3 balls. Rohit Sharma accompanied him by scoring 13 runs off 12 balls. India is under pressure after losing 2 openers.

After the departure of the two openers, Rishabh Pant and Akshar Patel tried to take the lead of the team. However, in the last over of the power-play, the Pakistan finders missed three catches. India scored 50 runs after losing 2 wickets.

Akshar Patel was bowled out by Naseem Shah in the fourth ball of the eighth over. This left-handed batsman scored 20 runs off 18 balls.

India coped with the initial shock by relying on Pant's bat. However, even Suryakumar Yadav could not shine with the bat on this day. This right handed batsman became the first victim of Haris after scoring 7 runs in 8 balls. In the 14th over, Naseem Shah brought Pakistan back into the game.

India lost 5 wickets of team's 95 runs. But Rishabh Pant kept one end. In the 15th over, Babar handed the ball to Amir. Pant did not survive this time. He was caught out on the first ball. This left-handed batsman scored 42 runs off 31 balls. Amir picked up a pair of wickets by calling out Jadeja in the next ball.

Hardik Pandya could not doing well with the bat that day. He got out after scoring 7 runs in 12 balls. Haris Rauf picked up back-to-back wickets by dismissing Bumrah on the next ball.

In the last ball of the 19th over, when Arshdeep was run out after scoring 9 runs off 13 balls, India were all out of 119 runs with 6 balls in hand.

Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took three wickets each for Pakistan. Apart from this, Mohammad Amir took two wickets and Shaheen Shah Afridi took one wicket.
