Neymar wrote in the post, 'I have had very difficult days after the injury. It's been a long time since I thought of giving up on football. Because it's impossible to move forward in such a difficult situation.
Neymar signed a 2-year contract with Al Hilal from PSG in August last year. After that, he got the opportunity to play only 5 matches in the jersey of the Saudi club. After that, he got injured for a long time during the break of international football.
Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus recently said about Neymar, 'I am hopeful that we will have Neymar in our midst from next September.'

Farooq Ahmed assigned as new BCB President
Farooq Ahmed has become the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
He was assigned to the BCB President post on Wednesday (August 21).
Former national cricket team captain Farooq Ahmed served as chief selector in BCB for two terms earlier.

Mushfiqur's impressive knock gives Bangladesh 117-run lead over Pakistan
An impressive performance by Mushfiqur Rahim has helped Bangladesh to build a lead of 117 runs over Pakistan on Day 4 of the first Test against Pakistan on Saturday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Rahim fell short of nine runs to complete his double century as he was caught out by Mohammad Rizwan at 191.
This was the first century by Raheem against Pakistan, while he scored his career's 11th century. Mehidy Hasan Miraz made 77 runs while Shoriful Islam scored 22.
Naseem Shah took three wickets while Shaheen Afridi, Khurram Shahzad, and Mohammad Ali claimed two wickets each.
Bangladesh resumed their first innings on day four at 316 runs for the loss of 5, trailing by 132 runs.
Bangladesh's opener Shadman Islam stood out with 93 runs, while Mominul Haque and Liton Das scored half-centuries.
Pakistan declared its first innings on 448 for the loss of six wickets. The innings saw Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 171 runs while Saud Shakeel scored 141 runs.

PAK vs BAN / Bangladesh seal first-ever Test win against Pakistan
Bangladesh recorded their first Test win over Pakistan in their 14th attempt in Rawalpindi, having previously lost 12 Tests since their first meeting in 2001.
Bangladesh on Sunday scripted history as they recorded their maiden Test win over Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Najmul Shanto's side beat the hosts by 10 wickets after being set a modest target of 30. Opting to field first, Bangladesh had started the Test on a high, leaving Shan Masood’s men reeling at 16 for three on the opening day. However, riding on middle-order batter Saud Shakeel (141) and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan’s (171) rearguard centuries, Pakistan declared the first-innings at 448 for six.
Fielding an all-pace Test attack for the first time in 28 years, Pakistan were then put on the backfoot by Bangladesh as they racked up 565 in reply, earning a 117-run lead. Veteran Mushfiqur Rahim struck a 341-ball 191, backed by able fifties from Shadman Islam (93) and Mehidy Hasan (77) to fend off Pakistan.
The win marked Bangladesh’s first Test win over Pakistan in 14 attempts. They had previously lost 12 matches while securing a solitary draw since their first meeting in 2001. Bangladesh have now beaten nine of the 11-Test playing teams they met. They are yet to register a win over India and South Africa.
The win marked Bangladesh’s 20th Test victory across 143 matches and seventh away from home. The Tigers have previously won in twice in the Caribbean and Zimbabwe besides solitary wins in Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Consequently, the Tigers also moved past Pakistan on the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table standings with their second win in five games this cycle. Pakistan slipped to the eighth spot following their fourth defeat in six games this cycle, shrinking their points percentage (PCT) to 30.55.
The teams will meet in the second Test at the same venue starting August 30.

Chief Advisor congratulates Bangladesh team
Bangladesh got a big win in the first match of the two-match Test series against Pakistan. Along with that, the regret of not winning the Test match against the hosts has been removed for them.
The chief advisor of the interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus congratulated Bangladesh team on this historic victory.

Shakib fined by ICC, Bangladesh also lost points
Shakib Al Hasan was fined and received a demerit point for throwing the ball at Mohammad Rizwan during a Test against Pakistan. Both teams also lost World Test Championship points due to slow over rates in the match.
Veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan faced disciplinary action from the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday for violating the Code of Conduct during the first Test against Pakistan. The incident occurred after Shakib, who has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) related to the murder of a local Bangladeshi, threw the ball at Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan during the second innings when Rizwan backed away from the crease.
The confrontation took place on Day 5 of the opening Test of the two-match series held in Rawalpindi. In the 33rd over of Pakistan's second innings, Shakib was about to deliver his second ball when Rizwan unexpectedly moved away, causing Shakib to lose his temper. In a moment of frustration, Shakib threw the ball directly at Rizwan, catching him by surprise. This outburst prompted on-field umpire Richard Kettleborough to intervene and have a stern discussion with Shakib immediately following the incident.
As a result of his actions, Shakib was penalized on Monday with a fine amounting to 10 percent of his match fee and received a demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. The ICC penalized him under Article 2.9, which pertains to 'throwing a ball (or any other item of cricket equipment such as a water bottle) at or near a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other third person in an inappropriate and/or dangerous manner during an International Match.'
In addition to Shakib's punishment, both Pakistan and Bangladesh were penalized for maintaining slow over rates during the first Test, which significantly impacted their chances of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Pakistan was found to be six overs short, resulting in the loss of six WTC points and a 30 percent fine on their match fees. Despite this setback, Pakistan remains in eighth position on the WTC points table, having secured two wins and suffered four losses in six Tests.
Bangladesh, who achieved a historic 10-wicket victory against Pakistan on Sunday, marking their first-ever Test win over their opponents, were found to be three overs short. Consequently, they lost three WTC points and slipped to seventh place on the points table, just behind South Africa.
The final match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is scheduled to take place on August 30 in Rawalpindi.

Bangladesh clinch maiden SAFF U-20 Championship title
Bangladesh clinched the maiden SAFF U-20 Championship title beating host Nepal by 4-1 goals in the final held at ANFA Complex in Nepal on Wednesday (28 August).
Apart from forward Mirajul Islam two goals in each half, Rabby Hossen Rahul and Piash Ahmed Nova supported him with a lone goal apiece in the second half to secure Bangladesh emphatic victory in the Nepal soil.
Samir Tamang scored alone goal for Nepal.
At the end of the 45 minutes regulation time, the referee added two minutes of injury time. Bangladesh took the lead at that injury time from a free kick. Forward Mirajul Islam was fouled by Nepalese defender when he attempted to enter with the ball to the danger zone. Referee pointed the free kick and Mirajul made no mistake to convert the free kick with a fierce shot from the outside the D-box.
Back with a 1-0 lead, Bangladesh came to the field with more organised and added three more goal in the second half.
Mirajul, who emerged as the highest scorer with four goals in the tournament, again doubled the lead in the 54th minute. After receiving a cross from the left wing, he sent the ball to the net with a brilliant header to make the margin 2-0.
After falling behind by two goals, Nepal could not return to normal rhythm. Bangladesh continued to dominate and Rabby scored the third goal for Bangladesh in the 69th minute.
Despite getting more scoring chances than Bangladesh in the proceeding, Nepal got their first goal in the 80th minute when Samir Tamang pulled one back with a header in the 80th minute taking the chance of mistake by defender and goal keeper.
Nova sealed Bangladesh's comprehensive victory in the 95th minute of the match.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to Nepal by 2-1 goal in the group phase match.
The jump-packed local crowds supported the two times champions Nepal team throughout the stadium. Nepal dominated the match of first half and missed some scoring opportunities. The hosts were ahead in ball possession and attack but they could not take lead lacks of the proper finishing.
