Persistent rain washes out first day of Bangladesh-Pakistan Test
Bangladesh got a historic win against Pakistan in the first Test. The Tigers are also dreaming of winning the series.
However, before taking to the field in the second Test, persistent rain washed out the opening day of the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The toss was scheduled to take place at 10:30 am Bangladesh time on Friday (August 30). And the game is supposed to start at 11 o'clock. But heavy rain hit Rawalpindi. As a result, the two teams could not toss at the specified time.
But the rain did not stop and the umpire declared the first day's game abandoned. Earlier, the weather forecast said that rain with thunder may occur on the days of the second Test.
Bangladesh's statistics book was completely blank before entering the field in this series against Pakistan. Bangladesh had only 1 draw after facing 13 Tests. The Tigers had to taste the defeat in the remaining 12.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first match of the two-match Test series.
