Tamim Iqbal arrived at the BKSP ground in Savar this morning to play a DPL match for Mohammedan. However, he fell ill shortly after the toss. Although a helicopter was arranged to transfer him to Dhaka, his condition was too critical for the journey.

He was immediately admitted to Fazilatunnesa Hospital near BKSP, where doctors confirmed he had suffered a heart attack with a 100% blockage in one of his arteries.
As his condition worsened, he was placed on life support, and a stent was inserted. He is currently under close observation in the CCU.
