Real Madrid secured their second UEFA Youth League title on Monday, overcoming Club Brugge in a dramatic penalty shootout at the Stade de la Tuiliere in Switzerland.

Following a 1-1 draw in regulation time, the Spanish giants emerged victorious with a 4-2 win on penalties to re-establish their dominance in European youth football.

The match began with Real Madrid controlling much of the tempo, and their pressure paid off in the 23rd minute when Jacobo Ortega opened the scoring with a clever backheel finish from close range.

While Madrid missed opportunities to extend their lead, Club Brugge fought their way back into the game during the second half.

The Belgian side found an equalizer in the 64th minute through Tobias Lund Jensen, who clinicaly finished a cross following a powerful run by Tian Koren.

With the competition's format moving straight to a shootout after 90 minutes, Madrid goalkeeper Javier Navarro emerged as the hero.

Navarro produced two crucial saves against Naim Amengai and Tian Koren, clearing the path for defender Diego Aguado to calmly convert the winning spot-kick.

The final was attended by high-profile figures including Real Madrid President Florentino Perez and UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin.

This victory adds a second trophy to Madrid’s cabinet in the tournament’s 12-year history—trailing only Barcelona’s record of three titles—and provides a major boost for the club's academy just days after the senior team’s exit from the UEFA Champions League.
