Bangladesh secured 28th position among 41 participating nations at the 3rd FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, accumulating 6 points across seven Swiss-system rounds, says Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) on Friday.

Concluding the campaign Thursday with a 3–1 victory over China, Bangladeshi victors included FIDE Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman over Guo Runpeng, Mohammad Obaidul Islam over Shi Kaiming, and Md. Aktar Hossain over Fu Xinyu while Nurnahar Tonima yielded against En He.

The national roster featured FIDE Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, Mohammad Obaidul Islam, Nurnahar Tonima, and Md. Aktar Hossain, supported by Chief of Delegation Mohammad Farhadur Rahman Sabab and Non-Playing Captain Md. Arifuzzaman Arif.

International Chess Arbiter Md. Anichuzzaman Jewel functioned as match arbiter.

Poland claimed undefeated championship honors with 13 points, followed by Cuba as runner-up with 12 points and host Uzbekistan taking third with 11 points.
