Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has highlighted 10 promising young players who represent the future generation of football. These emerging talents from various countries have earned spots in the third season of Adidas's "Messi +10" campaign.
Alongside male prospects, the list also features three standout talents from women’s football.
According to a report by football portal Goal.com, this Adidas initiative aims to showcase the talent and potential of the next generation of footballers.
The selected youngsters hail from Argentina, Germany, Mexico, England, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, and Brazil.
Among Messi's selections is young Boca Juniors playmaker Tomás Aranda. Known for his technical skill and creative style of play, Aranda's talent has also caught the eye of Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni, who included him in the squad for a pre-World Cup friendly tour.
However, Aranda is currently sidelined due to injury, undergoing a rehabilitation process after fracturing the fibula bone in his right leg.
In light of this situation, securing a spot on Messi's curated list is considered a special recognition for him.
The list also includes Turkish footballer Can Uzun of German club Eintracht Frankfurt, Gilberto Mora of Mexico's Tijuana, and young Max Dowman of English club Arsenal.
Various reports have highlighted strong interest from top European clubs—specifically Real Madrid and Barcelona—surrounding Gilberto Mora.
In addition to men's football, the campaign has emphasized rising stars in the women's game. The list features England's Chloe Sarwi of Chelsea, Brazil's Giovanna Waksman of OL Lyon, and Germany's Lotta Vrede of Hamburger SV.
The remaining three players chosen by Messi are Xavier Gozo of the United States, Jesús Rodríguez of Spain, and Kees Smit of the Netherlands.
