Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said those involved in killing and violence surrounding the quota reform movement will be prosecuted. She said every killing and violence in the quota movement will be investigated by international standards. Whoever is responsible, must be brought under justice.

She said this at the voluntary blood donation program, discussion meeting and prayer meeting organized by Krishak League at Krishibid Institute auditorium in the capital on Thursday (August 1).

The Prime Minister questioned and said, what kind of movement is it to kill and hang people?

Sheikh Hasina said that after coming back to the country, she faced repeated threats and death. There have been many pressures and threats to prosecute war criminals. Today's young generation who are 20 years old cannot even imagine what Bangladesh was like before Awami League.

Pointing out all the mega projects have been attacked, the Prime Minister said that when the country is rising to the peak of development, the ghosts of Pakistan are continuing the machinations.

The head of government said, 'where the demands of the students have been accepted 100%, what is the rationale for continuing the movement there.'

Incidentally, 'anti-discrimination student movement' is carrying out demanding reform of the quota system in government jobs. Although the first half of the month was quite peaceful, it turned violent from July 16 onwards. Especially on July 16, the day of the 'Complete Shutdown' program, the situation became dire when the police, BGB and Chhatra League leaders and activists clashed.
