A tragic collision between a microbus and a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Sirajganj’s Kamarkhanda upazila claimed the lives of five people and injured two others.
The accident occurred around noon on Sunday (September 8 ) at Bhadraghat on the Sirajganj-Nalka regional road. The deceased include Rashedul Islam from Raiganj Upazila, and brothers Nuruzzaman Ali (52) and Tareq Rahman (55) from Tarash Upazila, who died on the spot. The identities of the remaining two victims, who succumbed to injuries at the hospital, are yet to be confirmed.
Rezaul Karim, Officer-in-Charge of Kamarkhanda police station, said the autorickshaw collided head-on with a microbus near Bhadraghat ACI Mill. The injured were rushed to Shaheed M Mansoor Ali Medical College Hospital, where two others later died.
