Chief Adviser Leaves for Dhaka From Azerbaijan
After the COP-29 climate conference in Azerbaijan, the chief advisor Muhammad Yunus is returning to Bangladesh Today (November 14).
He left Baku for Dhaka at 5:30 pm (local time at 3.30 pm) today.
The Chief Advisor will inaugurate the 'Departure Lounge' at the departure terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after arriving in Dhaka.
Earlier, Dr Yunus went to Azerbaijan on Monday (November 11). He addressed the United Nations Climate Conference in Baku at around 1 pm Bangladesh time on Wednesday (November 13).
Apart from this, the LDC high-level meeting was held with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday. The chief advisor was also present in this closed-door meeting. Dr Yunus met with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Thursday. They discussed issues of mutual interest in the meeting at the COP-29 climate conference center in Baku.
Tuesday (November 12) on the sidelines of the climate conference, the chief adviser met President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister Daniel Risch of Liechtenstein.
He also met with President Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives and President Denis Becriovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He met and greeted Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, Tshering Tobgay, the prime minister of Bhutan, and Ramchandra Paudel, the president of Nepal.
Dr Yunus also met the prime minister of Belgium, president of Ghana, prime minister of Bosnia Herzegovina, president of Rwanda, prime minister of Albania, president of Montenegro, prime minister of Barbados, vice presidents of Brazil and Iran, president of FIFA, and director general of IOM.
Dr Muhammad's Azerbaijan visit is the second foreign visit as the chief adviser of the interim government. Earlier, he visited New York on the occasion of the 79th General Session of the United Nations.
