In a High Court courtroom, a group of lawyers threw eggs at Justice Md Ashraful Kamal. Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed has ordered strict action against those involved in the incident.
The Chief Justice informed the Attorney General and the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of this order on Thursday (November 28).
Earlier, a group of lawyers threw eggs at Justice Md Ashraful Kamal of the High Court Division for making adverse comments about BNP founder and former President Ziaur Rahman in the verdict of the Sixteenth Amendment case on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Court No. 32 of Bijoy 71 Building. However, the eggs thrown did not hit the judge. In the ensuing chaos, Justice Ashraful Kamal and the junior judge of the bench, Kazi Waliul Islam, left the courtroom. After that, no further proceedings were held on that bench.
