The Bangladesh government has strongly condemned a recent aerial attack in Saudi Arabia that resulted in the deaths of two Bangladeshi nationals.

The strike, which occurred on Sunday, targeted a residential compound belonging to a maintenance and cleaning company in the Al-Kharj Governorate, east of Riyadh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs identified the deceased as Bacchu Miah, hailing from Katiadi in the Kishoreganj district, and Mosharraf Hossain, from Shakhipur in the Tangail district.

In addition to the fatalities, twelve other Bangladeshi residents were injured in the blast and are currently receiving medical treatment at local hospitals.

State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Md Nurul Haque confirmed that this incident is part of a broader toll on Bangladeshi expatriates since the regional conflict escalated following the February 28 outbreak of hostilities between Iran and Israel.

According to government reports, four Bangladeshis have lost their lives in the region to date: two in Saudi Arabia, one in Bahrain, and one in Dubai.

In its official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and reaffirmed that the safety and welfare of Bangladeshi citizens in the Middle East remains the government's highest priority.

Embassy officials in Riyadh are in constant contact with Saudi authorities to facilitate the repatriation of the victims' remains and ensure the injured receive necessary support.

The Bangladesh government has called upon all parties involved in the regional conflict to exercise maximum restraint.

Furthermore, it has urged the international community to take effective measures to de-escalate tensions and prevent further civilian casualties.

Bangladeshi expatriates in the Middle East have been advised to avoid conflict-prone areas and adhere strictly to the laws of their host countries during this period of heightened instability.
