Vigilant Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel successfully thwarted multiple attempts by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to push 33 individuals into Bangladesh through three separate border points in Lalmonirhat early Friday.

The coordinated push-in attempts took place across the border zones of Hatibandha, Patgram, and Aditmari upazilas within the district.

According to reliable sources from the BGB and local communities, the BSF initiated the push-ins across three strategic locations:

11 individuals were targeted for push-in through the Barakhata BOP area in Hatibandha upazila.

10 individuals were directed toward the Paishattabari BOP area in Patgram upazila.

12 individuals were sent through the Durgapur Dighaltari border region in Aditmari upazila.

Upon receiving intelligence regarding the movements, BGB personnel deployed rapidly to the designated hotspots to establish defensive positions. Backed by local residents, the paramilitary force managed to completely block the entry of all 33 individuals.

Sources confirmed that the intercepted individuals were unable to cross into Bangladeshi territory and remain stranded in the no-man's land, also known as the zero-line area.

In response to the incident, the BGB has heavily reinforced its surveillance and active patrolling units along the frontier to keep the situation under close watch.

In an official statement released by the media cell of the Lalmonirhat BGB Battalion-15, authorities confirmed that the force is operating on maximum alert to neutralize any further infiltration or push-in maneuvers.

"All necessary steps have been taken to safeguard the country’s border and sovereignty," the BGB statement declared.
