Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presented official job appointment letters on Saturday afternoon to ten individuals representing families of martyrs and individuals who sustained severe injuries during the July Mass Uprising.

The distribution ceremony took place at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon, according to Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplur.

The ten recipients include Sabina Akter Rima, wife of martyr Md Sohag; Raziya Khatun, wife of martyr Md Shahriar; Afsana Akter, wife of martyr Md Abdullah Kabir; Akleema Akter, wife of martyr Md Mostafa Kamal Raju; Sumaiya Akter Suborna, wife of martyr Md Jewel; Samia Islam Popy, sister of martyr Miraj; Hafiza Akter Happy, wife of martyr Ahsan Kabir; Farzana Akter Rani, wife of martyr Omar Nurul Absar; Sabana Akter, wife of injured victim Md Abdul Matin; and Arzu Akter, wife of severely injured victim Md Zulfikar Alam.

Following the handover of the appointment documents, the Prime Minister held conversations with the family members present, making personal inquiries into the welfare and situation of their households.

Reflecting on the historical sacrifices endured by citizens across generations—spanning from the 1971 Liberation War through to the July Movement of 2024—Prime Minister Tarique Rahman emphasized that every sacrifice carried a single core vision: establishing a better Bangladesh where citizens can experience improved livelihoods.

"Those whom we have lost, those who were physically injured or otherwise affected—all their sacrifices were driven by a single aspiration- to make Bangladesh a better country," he noted.

Acknowledging the operational and structural constraints currently confronting the state and administration, the Prime Minister stressed that the nation must maintain its forward momentum through practical action.

"What we received is not the most important thing. Rather, what we were able to give to the country is what matters most," he observed, adding that "If the country could gradually move forward with this goal in mind, it would be possible to build a Bangladesh that people aspire to see in the future."

He assured the families that official efforts will persist to ensure full institutional recognition for all individuals killed or injured during the July Movement.

The ceremony also hosted Fatema Tuz Zohra, mother of martyr Abdullah Bin Zahid—who recently entered public service—and injured July movement participant Soheli Tamanna, both of whom met with the Prime Minister during the event.

Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplur confirmed that the recipient family members expressed formal gratitude to the Prime Minister upon accepting their employment letters.

Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman and Amra BNP Poribar Member Secretary agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun were also in attendance at the gathering.
