Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi has underscored the necessity of sustained dialogue and constructive engagement as the primary vehicles for addressing outstanding concerns between the two neighboring nations.

Speaking to reporters at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday following a meeting with Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, the envoy expressed optimism regarding the efficacy of bilateral communication.

"I have absolute confidence that there is no problem that cannot be resolved if the two countries sit down together," Dinesh Trivedi stated, emphasizing that the objective of such discussions should always be to cultivate "win-win situations" that benefit both India and Bangladesh.

Reflecting on his recent diplomatic audience with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the High Commissioner characterized the interaction as "exceptionally positive."

He lauded the Prime Minister as a "humble" leader who maintains a deep and authentic connection with the Bangladeshi populace.

Dinesh Trivedi remarked that the relationship between the two countries transcends mere geography, noting, "We don't only share borders, we share dreams."

He highlighted the deep-rooted historical and cultural synergies that define the bilateral bond, arguing that the existence of occasional differences between neighbors is entirely natural.

Rather than interpreting these challenges as evidence of diplomatic failure, the High Commissioner suggested they should be viewed as opportunities for open and candid deliberation.

The Indian envoy further pointed to the resilient affinity between ordinary citizens on both sides of the border, asserting that the general public maintains a strong desire for continued friendly and stable relations.

Expressing personal gratitude for the "love, respect and affection" he has encountered during his tenure in Dhaka, Dinesh Trivedi reaffirmed his commitment to deepening the partnership.

He concluded that through persistent cooperation, transparent dialogue, and the fostering of closer people-to-people ties, India and Bangladesh can effectively strengthen their shared future.
