Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday distributed job appointment letters to seventy-four individuals hailing from the households of victims affected by forced disappearances, homicides and the 2024 July-August mass uprising.

During an event convened at the Karabi Hall of the Prime Minister's Office situated in Tejgaon, the premier directly handed employment orders to ten of the beneficiaries.

Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon disclosed that the seventy-four designees encompassed relatives of victims impacted by secret abductions and killings, alongside wounded combatants and kin of those who perished during the July mass protest movement.

The individuals receiving their appointment documents straight from the Prime Minister featured Ishfaq Ahmed, brother of Iftekhar Ahmed Dinar; Moniruzzaman Hira, brother of Nuruzzaman Jony; Anan Hossain Noor, brother of Anwar Hossain Mahbub; Hasnain Reza, brother of Selim Reza Pintu; and Shammi Sultana, spouse of Khaled Hossain Sohel. Beneficiaries originating from the July uprising constituted Alal Ahmed, a sight-impaired injured fighter; Md Abul Hossain, father of martyr Alvi; Zartaj Parvin, mother of martyr Ahnaf; injured fighter Kazi Saimum Siraj; and Mahbub Alam, brother of Israfil Islam.

The recipients conveyed appreciation toward the Prime Minister regarding the job allocations while simultaneously calling for accountability and punishment for the perpetrators behind the forced disappearances and murders.

The ceremony was moderated by Atikur Rahman Rumon, who additionally functions as the coordinator of Amra BNP Poribar. Attendees at the gathering included Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar, Press Secretary Saleh Shibly, Deputy Press Secretaries Zahidul Islam Rony, Hasan Shiplu, Suzauddaula, and Shahadat Shadhin, Assistant Press Secretary AKM Nazmul Haque, alongside Shahriar Pamir and Moksedul Momin Mithun representing Amra BNP Poribar, among various other dignitaries.
