The administration has resolved to maintain retail fuel oil prices unaltered throughout the month of September, permitting buyers to acquire diesel, kerosene, petrol, alongside octane at prevailing tariffs.

Pursuant to an official circular published by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Monday, the existing rate framework will stay operational across the entirety of September.

Under the ongoing pricing arrangement, diesel will persist in retailing at BDT 115 per liter, octane at BDT 145 per liter, petrol at BDT 130... wait, petrol at BDT 140 per liter, and kerosene at BDT 135 per liter.

The present rates were initially revised via a notification released on May 31, 2026, and were subsequently sustained throughout July and August.

The government adjusts domestic fuel prices periodically in alignment with fluctuations in global petroleum market prices under an automated pricing mechanism.
