Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari spotlighted Himalayan tourism durability on Thursday amid flood aftermaths while attending the opening of the 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF).

Addressing the ICCB convention halls in Dhaka as a special guest during the September 17–19 exhibition launch, Nepalese Ambassador confirmed that the Himalayan republic remains fully open and operational for travelers, inviting sustained international visitor flows while advocating deeper tourism alignment and civic interchange between Kathmandu and Dhaka.

Nepal's footprint at the multi-day regional showcase features a 10-delegate delegation representing outbound and inbound agency operators.

The 2026 expo opener featured Chief Guest Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat.

Backed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, BPC, and the Bangladesh Tourism Board, the three-day exhibition brings together upwards of 200 entities spanning 10 nations across roughly 300 booths across three halls.

Exhibiting portfolios feature accommodations, resorts, tour planners, travel houses, carriers, state/private boards, and diplomatic missions marketing promotional packages, alongside nightly cultural showcases spotlighting Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Philippines.
