Law Minister Anisul Huq said, the government has initiated process to bring back BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman. The government is very active to bring back the fugitives in the country and execute verdict against them. Initiatives will be taken to put the cases of crimes against humanity on Appellate Division cause list.
He said these to the newsmen while responding question of journalists after delivering speech as the chief guest at the inauguration program of 38th foundation course of Assistant Judges at the Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) in the capital on Sunday.
In the program he said to the Judges, The contribution of quality judiciary for rule of law, financial development, strengthening democracy and poverty eradication is undeniable. So, the government is providing all kinds of cooperation to judiciary so that it can present people a quality service.
He said, the developed countries always advice people for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and that’s why ninety percent of cases are resolved out of the courtroom, lessening the pressure on judiciary.
The minister said, people need to be inspired so that they can solve the cases outside court room. If they are well persuaded then they will take the matter with due importance and try to do that.
Anisul Huq said, the judges have to look into the matter that any frustration or adverse notion should not be created in the minds of people following their slight dishonesty.
Presided over by JATI Director General Justice Khondker Musa Khaled, the programme was also addressed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Abu Saleh Sheikh Md. Zahirul Haque.
