Abrar Fahad's father, Barkat Ullah, has expressed his satisfaction with the High Court's verdict regarding his son's murder case. Speaking to journalists on Sunday (March 16) after the verdict was announced, he said, "I am satisfied with the High Court’s decision. Now, I want to see the swift execution of the verdict after all legal procedures are completed."
Earlier in the day, the High Court bench comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayetur Rahman upheld the trial court's death sentences for 20 convicts in the highly publicized BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case. Additionally, the court maintained life imprisonment sentences for five other convicts.

During the verdict announcement, Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman and Deputy Attorney Generals KB Rumi, Zahirul Islam Sumon, Noor Mohammad Azmi, and Assistant Attorney General Barrister Sumaiya Aziz represented the state.
On the defense side, lawyers Masud Hasan Chowdhury and Azizur Rahman Dulu were present in court. Abrar Fahad's family members also attended the hearing.
