On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, 24 prisoners were released from Dhaka Central Jail and other prisons across the country.

On Saturday (March 29), Inspector General of Prisons (IG Prisons) Brigadier General Syed Md Motaher Hossain provided this information.
He stated that 24 prisoners have been released from different prisons, including Dhaka Central Jail, in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr. Among them, 22 prisoners were released under Section 579, according to government regulations. Additionally, two others were released for good behavior.

It is noteworthy that all 24 released prisoners have already left the prison.
