Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to inaugurate the Amar Ekushey Book Fair and present the prestigious Ekushey Padak.

The Ekushey Padak ceremony will take place on the morning of February 26, followed by the official opening of the book fair in the afternoon.

The Minister of Cultural Affairs, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, shared this information on Saturday (February 21).

According to the Cultural Affairs Minister, the formal inauguration of the book fair will occur on the afternoon of February 26 at the Bangla Academy premises.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend as the chief guest to officially declare the fair open.

Earlier that same morning, the Prime Minister will present the Ekushey Padak to distinguished individuals at a ceremony in the capital, recognizing their significant contributions to various fields across the country.

Organizers have confirmed that all necessary preparations for both high-profile events are now complete.

In a notable move this year, the government has completely waived the stall rent for all participating publishing houses at the book fair.
